Step 1: Access HubSpot Integrations

  • Log into your HubSpot account.
  • Navigate to the top right corner and click on your profile picture or name.
  • From the dropdown menu, select 'Integrations'.

Step 2: Search for your e-commerce platform

  • In the Integrations screen, use the search bar at the top to search for your e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, etc.).
  • From the search results, select the desired e-commerce platform.

Step 3: Start the Integration Process

  • Click on the "Connect" or "Integrate" button related to your e-commerce platform.

Step 4: Provide Necessary Permissions

  • A new window may pop up, asking you to log into your e-commerce platform to grant access. Enter the necessary credentials.
  • Approve any permissions the integration requests. This may involve granting HubSpot access to order data, customer information, products, etc.

Step 5: Map Fields

  • Once connected, you'll likely have the option to map fields between your e-commerce platform and HubSpot.
  • For example, you might map a "Product Name" in your e-commerce platform to a "Purchased Product" field in HubSpot.
  • Go through each mapping suggestion, ensuring the data from your store matches up with the correct fields in HubSpot.

Step 6: Configure Sync Settings

  • Depending on the integration, you may have the ability to customize how and when data syncs between the two platforms.
  • For instance, you might set up the integration to sync customer data daily at a specific time.
  • Review and configure these settings to best fit your business needs.

Step 7: Set up E-commerce Tracking in HubSpot

  • Navigate to HubSpot's settings related to e-commerce tracking.
  • Ensure tracking is activated so you can monitor e-commerce metrics (like sales, abandoned cart rates, etc.) directly within HubSpot.

Step 8: Test the Integration

  • Make a test purchase or trigger a known event in your e-commerce platform.
  • Check HubSpot to ensure the data for this event shows up correctly. This confirms the integration is working as expected.

Step 9: Monitor and Optimize

  • Over the first few weeks, regularly check the data in HubSpot to ensure everything is syncing correctly.
  • Adjust and optimize as necessary, utilizing HubSpot's analytics tools to gain insights into your e-commerce performance.

Step 10: Continue Expanding the Integration

  • HubSpot offers many automation, marketing, and sales tools. Now that your e-commerce platform is integrated, consider setting up automated email sequences for cart abandonment, post-purchase follow-ups, or loyalty programs.
