(Step 2) Create a Custom Property for Testimonials

  • From the Contacts tab, select "Settings" (usually depicted as a gear icon).
  • In the left sidebar, choose "Properties."
  • Click on the "Create Property" button.
  • Name it "Customer Testimonials" or something similar.
  • Select "Text Area" as the field type to allow longer customer feedback.
  • Save your changes.

(Step 3) Gather Testimonials

  • Request feedback from satisfied customers.
  • Once received, add these testimonials to each respective contact's profile under the "Customer Testimonials" property.

(Step 4) Segment Contacts with Testimonials

  • From the Contacts tab, use filters to display contacts with entries in the "Customer Testimonials" property.
  • Create a list of these contacts for easier future reference.

(Step 5) Create a Testimonials Dashboard

  • From the main dashboard, click on "Add Dashboard."
  • Name it "Testimonials Dashboard."
  • Add relevant reports or widgets, such as the number of testimonials received over time, average customer rating (if applicable), or sources of testimonials (e.g., email, social media, website).

(Step 6) Regularly Review & Analyze

  • Set aside time (e.g., monthly or quarterly) to review testimonials.
  • Identify trends or recurring feedback points.
  • Analyze the impact of positive testimonials on conversions, sales, and customer retention.

(Step 7) Display Testimonials on Your Website (Optional)

  • If you have HubSpot CMS:
  • Create a webpage or section dedicated to showcasing testimonials.
  • Use HubSpot's drag-and-drop editor to design this page.
  • Regularly update the page with fresh testimonials.

(Step 8) Use HubSpot Marketing Tools for Promotions

  • Consider turning strong testimonials into marketing materials.
  • Use HubSpot’s email tool to send out powerful testimonials to potential leads.
  • Create social media posts highlighting these testimonials, using HubSpot's social tools.

(Step 9) Request Feedback on the Testimonial Process

  • Periodically, ask a few customers about their experience giving testimonials.
  • Use their feedback to refine your testimonial collection process and ensure it's user-friendly.

(Step 10) Back Up Testimonials

  • It's a good practice to periodically export and back up the testimonials from HubSpot to another secure location.
