How can I customize property fields for contacts in HubSpot?

Step 1: Log into Your HubSpot Account

  • Go to the HubSpot login page.
  • Enter your credentials to access your dashboard.

Step 2: Access Contact Settings

  • In the top right corner, click on your profile picture or initials.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose "Settings."

Step 3: Navigate to Objects

Step 9: Set Up Field Options (if necessary)

  • If you've chosen a field type like dropdown or radio select, you’ll need to define the options available for selection.

Step 10: Configure Advanced Settings

  • Determine if this property will be used in forms.
  • Define any additional field behaviors or default values, if necessary.

Step 11: Save Your New Property

  • Once all details are filled out, click the "Create" or "Save" button.

Step 12: Reorder Properties (Optional)

  • If you'd like to adjust the order in which properties appear:
  • Hover over the property name.
  • Click and drag to its desired position.

Step 13: Edit Existing Properties (if needed)

  • If you want to modify an existing property:
  • Click on its name.
  • Adjust the details as required.
  • Save your changes.

Step 14: Test the New Property

  • Go to any contact record.
  • Ensure the new or edited property appears correctly and captures data as intended.
